The same product can thrive on one platform and disappear on another. Understanding shopper behavior on each platform is the first step to a sensible multi-channel plan.

Amazon Shoppers

Amazon shoppers usually know what they want and compare on price, delivery speed and reviews. Listings compete on clarity and search relevance. Commodity and replenishment products often perform well.

Etsy Shoppers

Etsy shoppers look for handmade, vintage, personalized and craft-supply items, often as gifts. They value story, uniqueness and personalization options. Etsy has specific rules about what may be sold, so read the current seller policy on handmade, vintage and production partners.

Pinterest Users

Pinterest users plan: home projects, events, outfits, gifts. They save ideas long before buying. Pinterest is best treated as a visual search engine that sends traffic to your listings or store over months, not as a place for quick sales.

Action Step

For your top ten products, write one sentence on how a shopper would look for each one on Amazon, on Etsy and on Pinterest.
