A channel becomes a system when the work happens on schedule, to a standard, and could be handed to someone new without losing results. This lesson defines the parts every channel system needs.

The Six Components

Every channel system has an owner, a cadence (daily, weekly, monthly tasks), inputs (creatives, products, emails), quality checks, a primary KPI and a place where results are recorded. If any component is missing, the channel depends on someone's memory.

Separating Setup From Operation

Setup work happens once: account structure, tracking, templates. Operating work repeats: refreshing creative, reviewing search terms, sending campaigns. Document them separately so the weekly checklist stays short and clear.

Choosing What to Systemise First

Start with the channel that already produces the most revenue or the one that breaks most often. A reliable system on your biggest channel is worth more than half-built systems everywhere.

Action Step

List every marketing channel you currently use, note whether each has all six components, and choose the first channel to systemise.
